Hunter mountain RAWS is no longer operational, it has been disableded for the winter and that is when it is most useful.

If you are one of the folks who use technology to plan your trip to the Valley via the south pass, don't rely on the Hunter Mountain RAWS, it appears to need recalibration, it is a good barometer of conditions of the south pass (usually):

I will be interisting to see what happens, I suspect a good dose of wind, that is quite a dip in the jet.

The way I read it is that the south pass will get a little rain and a little more rain. But not a flash flood like from a lg t-storm would. lots of energy will be released in all the mt ranges be for it gets to the So pass. I might be way off target and it floods but this place is a desert for some reason......I'm just sayen
