Many birds visit The Springs, most notably the Large Chested Bed Thrasher...

Not that uncommon to see waterfowl at the springs. A pair of Mallards last week and Coots many times. Actually got to hang out with a Lesser Canadian Goose in 2016. I'm trying to post some pics of the goose but my pic file size is too large.

Keep calm and camp naked

No generic National Park prohibition that I could find. No DVP regulation that I could find.  (I did find a nudity prohibition for a national seashore and a park in Hawaii.) Nothing in state law against it. Couldn't even find an Inyo County Ordinance against it.

I always thought the springs was a clothes optional place.

Wasn't there a huge sign many years ago that stated clothes optional?
As far as I know there are no anti nudity federal laws.

I think the treetop flyby's of F18s in full afterburner is good enough fireworks for me.

It is a rare day when I travel at the speed limit and I am not below average in how fast I'm going. I think of it as Darwin at work. Speeding is just human nature because our time on this world is so limited. I would not like a world where there were so many police a speed limit could be truly enforced.

I suppose they could place "No Parking" signs and start collecting ticket fees. I had no idea there was such a thing as approved firewood for Saline.

Who gives a hoot about nudity?

Very pretty!  Definitely a Grebe, by the markings (or lack thereof), an eared Grebe.  Very lucky spot indeed! I wish my friend would have seen this last week, she's a birder.  Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

Doesn’t everyone in the valley already turn a blind eye on fireworks, underage drinking, nudity, unapproved firewood, feeding the animals, speed limits, parking in un approved locations already. What’s one more.
