South Pass - getting rough especially in the Devil's Golf Course section. The washboard is coming back on the valley floor. Give it 3 weeks for a full comeback.

Went out South Pass September 17.  Road in fair shape, a bit heavier washboard than last time, but no washouts at all.    The Bat road was in good shape, too.

Went out South Pass August 11.  Road in good condition. minimal washboard, no washouts.    Grading probably done in past 1-2 months and has maintained well.

Went out South Pass Sunday June 23.  Well graded on the valley floor.  The usual rocky, bumpy ride through the rocky fields before and after Lippincott.  The pass road itself was in good shape all the way to Hwy 190.  Nobody at the Palm Spring, or on the road out.  About 107F peak on Saturday afternoon,  cool overnight.

Came out South Pass Last Monday - road well graded and minimal washboard in the valley floor.  The road got rougher as you get near Lippincott turn off, but then back to very good climbing to the pass.  I met an Inyo County grader operator at the 190 and Saline valley Road junction, and he said he had graded the valley floor about 2-3 weeks previous - very good condition.  About 100 minutes from Palm Spring to 190, without really pushing it.  Great weather, pools in fine shape.
