I know Sprinter Vans- Stop now! You won't have enough ground clearance. In fact gauging by the overall conditions of roads I'm not sure you'd have a good time trying to climb out over South Pass.

Hi Beth,  Welcome to Saline Valley Talk.  I moved your post to the "Road Conditions"  section, where it might get more attention.

Please take a few moments to read the other recent posts regarding the North Pass, and the other roads in the valley.  You'll find the answers to your questions in these threads:

I'm not familiar with a Sprinter Van, but I can tell you that NOTHING that doesn't have high ground clearance will be coming in the North Pass for quite a while.

Hey there,
I'm curious if anyone has gone in recently and how the north pass is?
We've a Sprinter van that doesn't have high clearance, we've been going in for years with it
but heard recently that the north pass is not passable?!

Cheers,
Beth Custer
