One that I mostly recall came from the tin wall of the Palm Springs outhouse.

Storms a comin' better leave while you can. Mitch

That one always made me smile as I had usually just gotten comfortable by the time I noticed it.

The thread on Saline art isn't exactly hopping, but maybe more of you have heard or read things about the desert that you think are worth sharing on the public forum.

Here's one to get the ball rolling:

"If the desert is holy, it is because it is a forgotten place that allows us to remember the sacred. Perhaps that is why every pilgrimage to the desert is a pilgrimage to the self. There is no place to hide and so we are found." --Terry Tempest Williams, Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place

Perhaps what we hold most in awe about nature is its majestic indifference to humanity.- Mark Algazy
